About the Chapter

The Central Virginia Chapter of ISSA was founded in 2006 and is part of the national Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) (http://www.issa.org). The ISSA has more than 13,000 individual members and more than 100 chapters around the world. ISSA is the largest international, not-for-profit association for information security professionals. It provides educational forums, information resources and peer interaction opportunities to enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. ISSA works closely with other industry organizations such as (ISC)2, ASIS, and ISACA. We welcome new members to the Greater Richmond/Central Virginia ISSA Chapter.

Shelia Teague, Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), Federal Bureau of Investigation will be our speaker and will be presenting the topic:

"FBI-sponsored Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) program"

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Shelia Teague will provide an overview of the FBI-sponsored Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) program.  The RCFL program is a national network of digital forensics laboratories devoted to the examination of digital evidence in support of criminal investigations and to the detection and prevention of terrorist acts.  This presentation will cover many aspects of the RCFL program including development, location of laboratories, mission, governance, participation, benefits, funding, trends, workload, RCFL profiles, and case submission.
